The New Society Jazz and R&B Band plays music from several genres - from the dixieland of Louis Armstrong and the 30's dance bands of Hylton and Fox to the swing of Goodman and Miller; through the laid back tempos of classic New Orleans Rhythm and Blues of Professor Longhair,Fats Domino and Dr John to the classic Rock and Roll era of the fifties.

We specialise, however, in the dance band music of the 30's.

The music for your  special occasion is your choice.We can accommodate your preferences be it Dixieland , R&B and classic R&R ,some pop or standard show tunes - or a mix !  You can also decide on the number of musicians you want  to entertain you. We could turn out as a quartet - trumpet,sax/clarinet,guitar and bass or as an eight piece - the regular line up plus piano and fronting vocalist.
