          The New Society Jazz and Rhythm & Blues Band plays music from several genres - from the traditional jazz / dixieland  jazz of Louis Armstrong and the Thirties dance bands of Hylton and Fox to the swing of Goodman and Miller; through the laid back tempos of classic New Orleans Rhythm & Blues.

We specialise, however, in the dance band music of the 30's. Listen to the band play:

         The music for your  special occasion is your choice.We can accommodate your preferences be it Traditional jazz, Rhythm & Blues, some pop or American Songbook / standard show tunes - or a mix !  You can also decide on the number of musicians you want  to entertain you. We could turn as a:                                                                                                      

trio       - sax, guitar, bass                                                                                                                             quartet - trumpet, sax, guitar and  bass                                                                                         quintet - with the addition of drums                                                                                                     sextet   - add a trombone.                                                                                                                             septet   - with a female vocalist.                                                                                                                  or add to any of the combinations above, a female vocalist .                                                                       The fee is calculated as:  per musician / hour.
